Looking for an easy craft for Thanksgiving. Try creating these gobble turkey place holders for your Thanksgiving holiday table. Take a walk and collect cat tails or any other similar plant that could serve as a plume for the turkey's feathers. Cut a 2 inch styrofoam ball in half and paint orange. Gather pine cones from outside. Glue onto the painted base. Then take an ice cream stick - the ones from Dixie cups - and glue at the narrow end. At the fatter end of the cone, glue the cat tail or other plume you gathered. On the ice cream stick glue googly eyes, or draw them, and a red deflated balloon for a wattle. Write guests' names on a small white piece of card stock and stick in the pine cone. Now everyone has a place to sit and knows where that seat is. Guest can take their turkey home as a souvenir of the day.
Sorry for the sideways photos. But here is a super easy centerpiece craft for the holiday table. Take an orange can, clean it first, and hot glue candy canes (still in their wrappers) around the outside. Take evergreen cuttings from outside, fill the vase with water and there you have it. Tie a red ribbon around the vase. Quick, simple and cheap, but looks so great on the table.
